I have been representing both Buyers and Sellers in transactions with some of the most iconic properties in the Jackson Hole Valley for almost 20 years. Below is some information on my background.
I moved to Jackson Hole in 1975 after graduating from Whitworth College, now Whitworth University, is a small private school in Spokane, Washington. I came to Jackson for the same reason many people do, I had skied here the winter before and fell in love with the valley. My dream, at that time, was to live in Jackson Hole and get paid to ski and run the rapids of the Snake River both of which I did become a professional ski patrolman and a whitewater river guide.
I opened the first dedicated whitewater retail store in the valley called the Paddle Shop. I was then hired by a small local sporting goods manufacturing company called Life-Link International®. Over the course of the next 20 years as Marketing Director of Life-Link and eventually Vice-President of Sales and Marketing and part owner, I helped develop outdoor brands such as Croakies®, outdoor accessories sold worldwide, Simms® Fishing Products,
one of the premier fly fishing equipment manufacturers, Tarponwear, the first technical hot weather fishing clothing whose designs have been copied by every major hot-weather clothing manufacturer around the world, and Life-Link, a premier brand of backcountry ski equipment.
During that time my wife, JoAnne, and I raised two sons and a daughter. We have watched them become lifelong outdoor enthusiasts, growing up in this valley, while they made their way through the Teton County Public School system.
I have seen a lot of changes in the valley over the last 45 years. One thing hasn’t changed and that is my love and appreciation for the Valley, its’ mountains and the people who live here. The experience that I have gained over those years in marketing, advertising, and negotiation along with the knowledge I have of this area is what I can bring to you as your Realtor.
