Mark R. Watson, born and raised in Midland, the oil capital of West Texas, has more than two
decades of experience in real estate and land services. Grounded in Texas roots, but thriving
now in Wyoming, Mark is a licensed real estate agent in Wyoming, Montana, Texas, and
Arkansas. His career began as 2rd generation Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas
with a vision to provide precise, reliable land services—culminating in his role as President and
CEO of Cross Texas Land Services, a successful multi-million dollar firm with past operations
across Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
Over the years, Mark has managed or helped facilitate complex and large real estate ventures
to a family with simple dreams of a small farm. Mark has built a reputation for accuracy,
problem-solving, and leadership.
Outside of land services, Mark’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to founded Compass Rose
Cellars, an award-winning Texas winery. Mark has pursued a variety of personal passions,
including photography, ranching and winemaking. He enjoys playing polo and taking long walks
with his Labrador, Remi. God and family are at the heart of his life—his daughter, Jordan, is a
coach/teacher in Fort Worth, and his son, Remington, has followed in his footsteps as a land
surveyor in Austin.
