Originally from Minneapolis, my love for the West began with family camping trips to the National Parks. After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Food Science, I moved to Colorado, beginning a career in hospitality at Keystone Resort. On a long weekend ‘adventure trip’ to Jackson Hole in 1980 I sat on the banks of Jenny Lake and said “If I could live anywhere it would be here!” and eventually that came to be!
In between I moved to Oregon, working for a Pacific Northwest hotel developer, Inn Ventures Inc., building 15 Marriott hotels during my 20-year employment. I started as a Director of Sales and was promoted to Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Operations. During my tenure with InnVentures, we were the most awarded franchise across all brands of Marriott hotels and we were nationally recognized for our outstanding management and guest service.
As a prominent member of the Oregon hospitality community I served on numerous industry boards, Marriott task forces, and advisory committees; I also taught national Marriott Sales Training, Negotiation, Management, and Guest Service classes. Always a student, I obtained my MBA from the University of Oregon in 1997.
Upon early retirement, my husband, Randall Kaufmann, who was the founder and owner of Kaufmann’s Streamborn Fly Shops, and I decided to build our home in Jackson Hole and I put my business skills to work in real estate. You will discover that I am an excellent communicator and negotiator, have great follow-through, am organized, detail-oriented, and a good listener.
I love helping clients find their perfect home or investment property and I work hard to ensure smooth transactions. Whether you’re a seasoned real estate investor or a first-time buyer – I can make a difference in your real estate experience – I look forward to working with you – let’s get started!
