Scott Blackwood was born on Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico into a military family, the middle of four siblings. His childhood was marked by frequent relocations, moving across the country every two years until he settled in Virginia Beach, VA, where he completed high school.
In 2010, Scott graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance. Following graduation, he moved to Wyoming to spend the summer working at A-A Guest Ranch in Grand Encampment. Captivated by the beauty and lifestyle of the West, he decided to make Jackson, WY, his home.
With over 13 years of experience in real estate, Scott has built a diverse career managing properties, overseeing timber forest operations, and brokering real estate transactions. He earned his Wyoming Real Estate License in 2011, became a licensed Wyoming Broker in 2013, and expanded his credentials by obtaining an Idaho Broker’s License in 2018.
Scott is a dedicated leader in the real estate industry. He currently serves as the 2024 President of the Teton Board of Realtors (TBOR), President of the Western Mountain Resort Alliance (Resort Alliance), and Vice President of the Southwest District for the Wyoming Board of Realtors. Additionally, he is an active member of the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) Risk Management Issues Committee and the NAR Resort and Second Home Committee, where he helps address key challenges within the industry.
Scott was honored as the 2024 Realtor of the Year, a testament to his professionalism, leadership, and contributions to the real estate community. He is also a participant in the 2024-2025 Leadership Jackson Hole program, where he is further developing his skills in public speaking, leadership, and conflict resolution.
