Experience Arts + Culture
Center for the Arts
Center for the Arts is Jackson’s hub for performing arts and culture. Just a few blocks from Jackson Town Square, the ultra-modern building brings artists, musicians, speakers, films and comedians to be enjoyed by residents and visitors. Don’t be surprised if you see some familiar faces in the lineup!
Teton County Library
Immersive youth experiences, workshops and speaker series offer ways to connect with others and flex your creative muscles. Become a Library member to access exclusive content, the Library of Things (great for renting gear for a weekend trip) and the new WonderLab maker space outfitted with 3D printers, sewing machines and other fun gadgets. When in doubt, there’s always something to do at Teton County Library.
Jackson Hole Moose Hockey
Jackson Hole’s Moose hockey team plays Friday and Saturday nights all winter season at the Snow King Sports & Events Center. From the roaring crowd to classic concession snacks, Moose games are an exciting experience for the whole family.
Choose an Outdoor Adventure
Ice Skating
Jackson and Teton Valley offer several public skate opportunities (and many are free!). Ice skating gives you the traditional winter experience at a lower cost and barrier to entry than downhill snow sports. See Grand Teton Skating Association and Kolter Ice Arena for more information.
National Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride
Like a scene out of a Hallmark Movie, get up close and personal with wild elk right in the heart of Jackson Hole. This horse-drawn sleigh experience is guided by knowledgeable wildlife experts who will tell you all you need to know about America’s largest migrating elk herd. Be sure to bundle up and bring a camera, the scenery is unbeatable.
Venture into the Backcountry
Try your hand at dog sledding and snowmobiling to go off the beaten path and get adrenaline pumping. These alternative modes of transportation are both fun and functional – allowing you to reach otherwise secluded destinations including Granite Hot Springs. (As always, we suggest booking a guided tour so you can venture into the wilderness with the safety and support of the pros.)
Enjoy World-class Relaxation
Hot Springs
The same geothermal activity that generates natural phenomena in Yellowstone fuels relaxing hot springs around Jackson. During the cold winter months, 110-degree mineral-rich water may convince you to dig your swimsuit out of the closet and enjoy this spa-like outdoor experience.
